The Uber-wealthy

Mention a Foreign Investor with limitless money (stolen or borrowed) and our rent-boys and -girls in the investor- and political class drop their pants.

They’ve just sold our energy sources and are now panting to sell the land and what litle remains.

A class of the criminally insane who obviously do not plan to live here in the future, serfs, who think they will get a cosy job in an investment bank or an office in Bruxelles.

Glory to the Golden Calf.

Impeached PM launches PR Circus

* I’m innocent of all charges.
* All the judges are disqualified
* This abomination is a grave danger to the rule of law.
* I will take my case to the European Court of Human Rights.
* Political witch hunt by lefties.
* Heavy on me and my family.

Nothing Original or New just tried and tested PR drivel.

It is miraculous how innocent the marriage partners of politics and banking are in a country which experienced a total meltdown. Not a single politician or banker bears any responsibility. – It was all some unspecified alien force.

It is becoming increasingly clear, that no one belonging to the political class will face any consequence for their actions. The people will pay as usual, having no PR Firm to fend for them.

The “Honey Trap”

Repeat: “…a fundamental rethinking of economic theory”…. (a greater) “distribution of income”…(more) “regulation of financial companies”, “central banks need to do more to prevent lending and asset prices from expanding too fast”.

Are you kidding me? Read that passage again and I think you’ll agree with me that Strauss-Kahn had signed his own death warrant.

There’s not going to be any revolution at the IMF. That’s baloney. The institution was created with the clear intention of ripping people off and it’s done an impressive job in that regard. There’s not going to be any change of policy either. Why would there be? Have the bankers and corporate bilge-rats suddenly grown a conscience and decided to lend a helping hand to long-suffering humanity? Get real.

Strauss-Kahn broke ranks and ventured into no man’s land. That’s why he was set up and then crushed like a bug.

(Note: Strauss-Kahn has been replaced by the IMF’s number 2 guy, John Lipsky, former Vice Chairman of the JPMorgan Investment Bank. How’s that for “change you can believe in”?)

Fair & Balanced

Even the “public” broadcasting station fails the Fair & Balanced test by censoring the former presidents views in todays referendum.

For years the newscasters have secured their jobs by nudging up to the powerful, – What new(s)?

This is the gist of what she said:

” I have not made ??a habit of declaring my views on controversial issues, but now a large number of people have sought my opinion on the referendum which is now at hand. I am very concerned about the future of the nation and after some careful reflection I would like to make public that I’ve gone to a polling station (absentee ballot), because of by absence for the next upcoming days, and voted with my Yes, in the contracts favor.

In my position I have not least kept in mind the old truth that disputes should be settled through negotiations. It is an adage between peaceful nations, not to wage protracted wars about uncertain content. It is thus, that trust is formed between nations. From my point of view there is no doubt that our repute as Icelanders awaits great harm from the ongoing controversy, conflicts in front of courts and complex legal battles. Then, it is vital that we Icelanders turn away from division and conflict and rather stand together to build a comprehensive and successful future for the land and its people. ”

The Constitutional Council

The Constitutional Assembly has survived fierce onslaught by the elite and is now in progress.

It appears that the referendum on Saturday is turning into a tactical voting exercise, as the same forces that got us into this mess, fight tooth and nail to secure their privileges and impunity, – regardless of issues and consequences to anyone else.

The Constitutional Council

Austerity for Whom?

In our case, it has been heartwarming to see how the political class selflessly withdrew their investments from the failing banks in the days leading up to the meltdown

Although they do not deny having superior knowledge, in no way did they use their insights to their own advantage.

Governments everywhere are Of, By, and For their People.

Somehow these numbers do not reflect the priorities propagated by the powerful and moneyed interests.
